Tal Fitzpatrick and Melissa Spratt’s Crafting for Climate quilt is now on show at Runaway Bay Library. The quilt is the culmination of textile-based workshops with community across the Gold Coast, with each participant conritbuting a denim square to the quilt that explored the theme of climate resilience, connection and care for Country.
Fostering conversation, creativity, and a shared commitment to a more sustainable future, the Crafting for Climate project will tour to Gold Coast City Libraries in 2026. The quilt is on show with a curated selection of climate-themed books, children’s activity sheet and a short documentatry highlighting the Crafting for Climate project.
